When life gives you lemons, suck it up and move on. But when life gives you bananas... call a friend?
Woke up this fine windy morning to a plate full of bananas on the table and I just cracked up - first sigh of insanity?
So naturally my look of the day had to include them. Let me explain the reason behind the mass bananas. Not only are they amazingly rich in protein and super healthy, but did you know you can whiten your teeth with the banana skin?
How to whiten your teeth for free with benefits:
Ingredients:
1 Banana
Method:
1) Peel the banana, take a bite - savour it all.
2) Do not throw away the banana skin, take it and cut its length to fit you mouth.
3) Place it in your mouth and look silly for about 20 minutes. You can rub the banana gently into your teeth if you feel like it.
4) Next remove the banana skin, and rinse. I would advise to also brush your teeth right after to remove the banana skin bits from your teeth - maybe floss too.
Results: teeth should be whiter!
For best results, do this daily (even twice a day if you like)
Note: DO NOT keep the banana skin for later. It will go brown/black. Avoid using the banana skin if it starts to turn colours. ALWAYS use it when it's freshly peeled.

THIS IS BECOMING A HABIT.
Indeed it is, Laura the Doll.
The most reoccurring statement said to me has been: you look like a doll.
It doesn't bother me at all, in fact makes me laugh - what can you do!
So last week I worked with an amazing team and modelled some really cute items!
The final images will be out later on, but I will show you some I took behind-the-scenes.
Thanks for reading,

All that matters is just that.
Often when we are stuck in past memories, when we are hurting we forget and lose ourselves on the way. We forget our ambitions, we forget our goals, we forget who we are.
It's getting past these obstacles that can be a struggle, and it takes time - but it's not impossible.
Lately I have been getting some critiques about how my life has been changing, that I'm going away from just being a photographer or that I don't shoot as often anymore and exploring other areas. And I completely agree with you who have said that. I am shooting less not because I don't want to shoot, but because I have filtered my ideas. Before I would shoot however, or whatever just to shoot - but now I want to create one big thing because my production team is bigger and since I work with many people, I need to find an availability that suits everyone. I want to create something great, and not something without meaning, because photography for me is not just taking pictures, it's a personal moment where I unwind and express myself like some sort of mental psychology. I also agree I have branched of to other areas. When I shoot my lookbook/Outfit of the day, there's a lot more to just shooting the outfit. I want to inspire people and share what I like, how I wear something, because even when I go to sleep and then choose what to wear the next day reflects on my current mood and how I feel. If you've noticed I don't have one fixed style I like to be versatile. Due to this, modelling has become another option for me, not because I think I am model-type, the reason is much more than that. It's putting on the clothes that I am asked to wear and seeing myself in another light, in a way I am getting to know who I am more through expression and emotion. Finding myself again has been something satisfying.
To end this post, I want to dedicate it to the ones who have never failed me, never judged me, never let me down even when I didn't deserve it at all. Mum, Dad & Sister - they are who really matter at the end of the day, their opinions, their support and their love. Just that is enough for me to keep doing what I am doing, the rest doesn't matter.

Green dress - Tsumori Chisato

Take care of yourself; vibrant colours
I have come down with a nasty nasty cold!
"It's moments of sickness that you value good health."
Today I had a shoot and this time I was the photographer. It's been a while since I've actually set up a studio and was behind the camera, I sometimes forget that I'm studying fashion photography with the recent modelling requests (which I am grateful for, so fun fun fun! So keep emailing me please l.borgesribeiro@gmail.com )
One big rule I always gave myself was to sleep at least 8hours, which was fine by me. Sometimes I'd just hurry back just so I could have nice 10 hour sleep. And now I'm struggling to get a good decent 6 hour sleep without waking up in the middle of the night - I even use an eye mask to block my mind from the environment around me. So that's my suggestion of the day: sleep more.
I've been itching to wear these long shorts ever since I ordered them. They're a bit big for me now since I've lost some weight, so I belted it!

Shorts - ASOS
Crop top - new look
Flatforms - cat street, Tokyo

walk towards the light
Remember that there are always obstacles we will have to cross, people who will disagree with things you say but never forget that there are those that will always support you. Those closest to you, remember to not let them go no matter how busy you are. And to take it easy and always walk towards the light.
